The 2010 competition will once again be held at Silverstone Circuit on 15-18 July 2010.
Circuit: In 2008, the length of the circuit was 1252m, which works out at 18 laps for the Endurance Event, with the driver change at 9 laps. Please note that this is a rough guide and changed slightly as the actual course is set out with cones.
Garages: Each Silverstone garage is 18m wide x 17.5m deep. Hence, each team will have 6m deep x 4.25m wide, allowing 8 cars per garage with a centre walkway. Crates will be stored all together in the Medical car park. Electricity and water will be available in all garages, as well as a separate WC/restroom in each garage. Garages should be open from 09.00hrs on Wednesday 14 July and will close at 22.00hrs each day.
Electric Connectors: Please provide your own electric connector (16amp C-Forms is what you will need to bring) as there will be none available to hire onsite.
Team Accommodation and Camping: Camping is available next to the circuit. Tents with free matresses can be hired from Neil Carr-Jones. The Camping Booking Form and all other accommodation queries are to be sent to Neil Carr-Jones: neil.carrjones@goose.co.uk or +44(0)7876 181215.
Please note that camping at Silverstone is not available on Tuesday 13 July so teams will need to make alternative arrangements if arriving on the Tuesday. We therefore advise teams to arrive on Wednesday 14 July.
Alternative Accommodation: http://www.silverstonevillage.org/ has a list of local accommodation and ameneties. The Chantry Coach House B&B (01327 857458) has a network of other local B&Bs in the area.
Shipping Cars: Crates are able to be received from Tuesday 13 July and the shipping address is Medical Car Park, Silverstone Circuit, Silverstone, NN12 8TN. Crates will be stored all together in the Medical car park, near to the garages. Teams wishing to shakedown their cars will be able to do so on 14 or 15 July 2010. Deliveries: We do not advise that you have anything delivered to Silverstone during the competition as the organisers cannot take responsibility for your delivery.
Catering: Food will be available to purchase on-site, but please note that payment will be in cash (pound sterling) only. Also, there are plenty of food stores within a 15 minute drive of the circuit.
Parking: Vehicles can be parked onsite. The parking allocation for teams and visitors will be confirmed nearer to the event.
Medical: Silverstone has a fully-equipped Medical Centre that will be open for the duration of the event.
