Formula SAE (FSAE) Rules

A summary of the main changes to the FSAE Rules since 2007 is also available via the same link. In general, the Formula SAE rules apply to Formula Student. There are, however, some modified and additional regulations applying to Formula Student (known as the “Formula Student Supplementary Regs”), including all those relating to Classes 1 (200 series), 2 and 3, and some for Class 1 (defined below).

The 2008 Formula Student Supplementary Regs are detailed below. Where applicable, the Formula Student Supplementary Regs will take precedence over the equivalent Formula SAE rules. These Supplementary Regs are to suit particular circumstances applicable to the UK event and/or to demonstrate that the Formula Student organisers and judges represent a different "customer" to other FSAE series events and so (reflecting “real world” conditions), have different requirements which teams need to be aware of and adhere to.
